Our stay was a delightful escape into the heart of Devon. The spacious room allowed us to relax after a day spent exploring nearby attractions like Castle Drogo and the stunning Cosdon Hill. I appreciated the cozy atmosphere of the farmhouse, which is well-maintained, and even though the breakfast options were limited, it was convenient to grab a quick bite. This experience truly felt like an authentic country getaway, surrounded by beautiful scenery.

Spacious family room with ample playing area.
Upon arrival, the atmosphere was off-putting, with a strange odor of cigarette smoke and wet dog permeating the house and our room. The bathroom felt neglected, cluttered with used toiletries that made it uncomfortable. Breakfast was a disappointing affair, as we were left with minimal options to contend with and shared spreads in an unclean room.

The cooked breakfast was a great way to start each day, ensuring we were well-fueled for our adventures. The hosts were warm and accommodating, sharing helpful local recommendations.
The noise from the nearby highway was more prominent than expected, which affected our comfort during the stay. There were limitations during breakfast, as it was no longer a hot offering, which was a disappointing change.

Family with children Cute retreat
The breakfast was very nice, especially the farm-fresh sausages. Jane also went out of her way to help us with anything we needed, felt like family.
It certainly wasn't cheap but still reasonable for what you get.

Cozy stay with a pup welcome!

The spacious room provided some comfort during our stay. however, it was overshadowed by cleanliness issues in the bathroom and a persistent, unpleasant odor. Breakfast options were minimal, and we faced the awkward situation of sharing spreads with fellow guests in an unclean dining area. The absence of dining options nearby made evenings less enjoyable after long days of exploring.
